This animation shows the process of crude oil production. Fluid flowing from the well, through the lines, is taken to a horizontal three-phase separator where there is the separation of the three phases of the fluid (gas, oil and water). The gas is conveyed to the burner for flaring, the oil is conveyed to the storage tank for later transport to the refinery through trucks or other means.
